Tasurah

The Gaze of the Elements

Tasurah watches over his followers from within the sun in the sky. From there, he can easily observe his followers work the land and set up temples and shrines to his glory on the the highest peaks of Kalakeri. In times long ago when he was displeased at people misusing their time under the light of day or misusing their natural resources, Tasurah reminded his followers of his wrath with a sudden heatwave, a minor avalanche of rock, or for the tides to rise dangerously high. Under much more drastic and constant misuses of the natural land and waters, it is not unknown for there to be devastating tidal waves, earthquakes, or heatwaves with a large death toll, though afterwards the lands are always more fertile, fruitful, and calm, as if they were renewed.

While his presence can be felt anywhere under the sun if you know how to recognize his gaze, Tasurah is especially pleased when followers ascend the tallest and most challenging peaks to build temples and shrines in his name. Should such followers falter altogether, Tasurah preserves their body where they fall in solid ice, a monument to their courage that never melts. Due to this, you will frequently see his followers in simple, unassuming dwellings on the peaks of the Vochalams.
