Session 109: 27th September 2022 - Retribution
The Chosen make their way back to the windmill, and after retrieving Braz’s weapon, follow a path of boar tracks to a logging area of the island, where long logs float lazily down the green water.
It all happens too fast, but not in the same way as before. The boar approaches as soon as it spots them approaching, and Xan, with Helikaon at her side, hits a flurry of attacks on the large boar. The rage flies from Xan’s weapons, beating pain into its skin. She feels the rage from their previous encounter - she had failed before and would not fail again.
Between them and power from the medusa's hands, they take the monster out.
As it dies, it mutters of the island, they wish for it to return to its previous state - the woods and nature. Hipofilius approaches the beast and sends a prayer over it. Protection, strength and understanding of the earth and all its goodness. Helikaon stands staring into the fire they have set on the fey’s resting place. She joins him and he gently squeezes her shoulder. Calliope too, but she faces her coldly. Still not happy with her. But is she okay with that? Maybe. Xan did what she thought was best and she must trust herself even if others do not.
