The Yu Clan

The Yu Clan has its roots in Unknown, traced back to the fall of the previous ruling Clan. When the Loh Clan was wiped out by the lich Su Lihua, it was Yu Zhaohui who led the resistance against her, and dealt the killing blow. They were heralded as hero, and ascended to the seat of power, which their descendants have maintained since.

Industrialization paved the road to the corruption of this once-respectable clan. A greed for both wealth and power pushed the Yu family into dealings with Serpentine, until they ultimately claimed a place at its head. Over the years, they strayed farther and farther from their roots, and today stand as Light Weaving masterminds by day and rulers of the underground by night. Despite increasing taxation and a discriminatory policy in their shikar work, the Yu Clan remains a respected clan. Much of this is credited to the improvements to the city witnessed after Yu Ào-mei succeeded her father.
