Tawashi

A coastal nation to the northeast of Asuvia. It borders The Northern Wastes as well as Quyan.

Tawashi is under a monarchy, the Hirota line. The country is best known for its abundance of flying cities, and the first development of the airship.

Foreign Relations

Tawashi is amicable but cautious terms with Quyan. Though currently open for trade, the relationship between nations has fluctuated through history. The current rule of the Empress of Tawashi and the Shikara of Quyan has brought about peaceful times. 

Tawashi maintains good relations with Su-an Toan, trading with them primarily by sea. On occasion they may deal with the city-states of the Riseyng as well, but are limited by the hazards of the desert. Most trade is conducted through Deshela as a result. 

Policy on Magic

Though its infrastructure has historically relied on magic, individual practice is highly regulated. Especially within cities, magic is restricted primarily to those with licenses. Cantrips are permitted, but leveled spells require a legal permit. Practicing leveled magic in public can result in at best a warning, at worst a heavy fine or jailtime.

Necromancy and enchantment are considered the most taboo of magic, but any magical harm is strictly punished.
