Shanhou

The seat of power of Quyan. It is the residence of the Shikara’s Clan, the Shouwèi Clan.

In recent years, Shanhou has begun to embrace the developments of the magitech revolution. Unlike Límíng City, Shanhou retained much of its initial build, adding onto and enhancing what was already there. 

Shanhou is built partially within mountains, though a large portion of the city is on flat earth.

The Shouwei Estate

The estate itself is built atop a mountain, requiring one to ascend hundreds of stairs to reach it. At the base is a decorated courtyard open to the public. Members of the Shouwei Clan will lead basic self-defense classes to anyone who wishes to participate.

Most visitors to the estate proper will be turned away without an appointment, or good reason.

The Lai Shi Theater

Here one can enjoy either a live show or a light projection. One of the more prestigious stages an actor can perform upon, only the most talented get to frequent this theater. Outside, visitors are often treated to other performances — dance, comedy, martial arts displays, all to awe and to entertain.

While there are plenty other theaters for visitors to visit, either for smaller shows or projections, none can compare to the grandeur of the Lai Shi theater.

The Basin

A lake located just outside of Shanhou. A geothermal vent warms the waters, offsetting the chill of snowmelt from the mountains. On a windless day, the water is so still that the sky is perfectly reflected on its surface.
