The Machinist

The Machinist


An entity of unknown purpose of origin. She was first encountered by Liutubang in The Tower, constructing a complex but unstable magitech device. Upon seeing the party, she immediately sent cat-beast constructs after them. Adibo sent Vic a sensation of panic in response to these constructs' appearance.

She reappeared during the party's stay in Ira's Mirror, accompanied by new constructs and evidently hunting those who had appeared in the Tower. During her assault she successfully retrieved the Cubic Key that the party had taken, as well as Foes' Puzzle Box -- as evidently, the two items were related.

Abilities and Appearance


The Machinist has a haggard and unhealthy appearance. She is underweight with limp and oily hair, indicating neglect to basic living requirements such as food and hygiene. She also bears magitech body modifications in the form of a set of four mechanical arms resembling clawed tentacles. These extra limbs greatly enhance her range of motion and double as both weapons and tinkering tools.

She additionally bears a certain ability to manipulate the mind, as revealed by a mental shriek that left several of the party stunned. Her constructs reflect this affinity, bearing a mass communication network with which they can relay information between each other and to The Machinist.

She appears to be a sea elf, with gills, fins, and bioluminescent blood.
