The Tower

The Tower

A structure of unknown origin, likely linked in some form to the Astral Plane. It appeared in a lake in eastern Quyan. Soon after, planes of light began to form, spreading steadily outwards and encroaching on surrounding settlements.

Within the tower was a nonsensical, shifting arrangement of architecture, filled with locks with abstract keys, impossible pathways, and dangerous traps and constructs.

Adibo

This Tower had some connection to the entity Adibo, which could speak in a limited manner to those inside. It had either built or claimed possession of a series of light projections, seeming to be capable of scrying on the outside world.

Other Entities

Liutubang, Nam Yoo-Jun, and Fakir ChaeYasda encountered another entity within the tower. She appeared to be a sea-elf, unhygienic and addled in mind, with four artificial and clawed tendril-like appendages sprouting from her back. She was working on an enormous metal contraption.

When alerted to their presence, she became agitated and aggressive. She called two feline-esque, blocky constructs to attack the party, forcing them to run to escape those creatures without facing them head-on.

The Machine

The light planes appeared to originate from the metal contraption the sea-elf woman was working on, which consisted of two "cones" formed from a series of metal rings of decreasing size. Each ring had arcane sigils hovering over them. Both cones pointed at a massive shifting prism that resembled bismuth.

Sidhi Palavi theorized that the metal rings were constructed for the purpose of experimental magic, forming and altering spell circles rapidly. She called this method volatile and dangerous.

This machine was at least partially destroyed by Liutubang, who made the top cone crash down onto the rest.
