Remedy

The Bastion Remedy, self-described as a celestial charged with guarding the demon Theelsanat in The Abyss. 

Remedy has become jaded with time, resentful of her duties and her siblings who shirk them. She has come to see the world and its people as being unworthy of saving. Despite this, Remedy appears to value and reward those who are compassionate towards her, though not always with the means they desire. 

Remedy wields a pair of jade chakrams. She wields great control over the land, able to grow and control plants and shapeshift through beast forms. 

Within the Campaign

The party encountered Remedy in the Bleeding Mire, within the Spirit Realm. She was sealed within a pair of jade chakrams, with her body contained within a ginkgo tree. She told them she was a celestial, charged with keeping a demon trapped in the Abyss, and that they would need to kill the ginkgo tree for her to walk freely.

After deliberation, the party cut her chakrams into the tree trunk, letting her slowly kill it to free her body. While she was hostile to Foes, who had at least displayed a prioritization of his own curiosity over her freedom, she was grateful most of all towards Tamara, as well as to Vic, acknowledging the foolishness in their actions but commending their kindness before leaving.

Remedy would not be heard from for over two years after this point. She reappeared during the invasion of Serpent Gardens, allied with demons of corruption and intent on killing Yu Huang. With Liutubang restrained except for Tamara, her intent was only thwarted by the arrival of Lucidity.
