One of the successor states of the Empire located in the Westlands. It lies nestled between the Whiterush and Emerald Rush rivers in the west, the Western Pactswood in the south and the Morning Mountains to the east.
The kingdom is ruled by monrachs descended from the commander of the Imperial Armies stationed at Thal Hold during The Fall. Their seat, and the nations capital, lies in Thalium, off the shores of the islands of Thal Hold.
A major portion of the Norenes is covered by the Argent Glades, a collection of forests rich in a rare Silverbark tree. The forest, taking up much of the fertile lands of the kingdom is both a blessing and a curse, while it stops major agriculture from taking hold it also provides Norenes with its most valuable export. The trade taking place across the land is also strengthened by the proximity to Llewynfrid which lies just over the Whiterush to the west. It is also able to boast the closest relations with the elves of The Thousand Glades, with whom steady trade is kept over the Emerald Rush.
Owing to the kingdom's origin, as well as the proximity to the vital Silvery Gates and dangerous Western Pactswood, Norenes is known for its well trained military focused on the ability to quickly respond to threats across the kingdom.
