These chapters of the campaign are written from the perspective of the protagonist, Starlim Vance, as if he wrote them in his journals about his expeditions. Maybe he has really written these chapters in his Chronicles of Starlim Vance, who knows.
Inciting Incident
I was at my usual duties as a sentry, patrolling in the surroundings of my community, Metro, while writing and drawing about things I've encountered, and other things I've listened in conversations from my fellow Rangers, that another Ranger, Pietro, tall and dark of skin and hair, came to me with a terrible message: Uncle Krin is missing, he was to return a week ago, it was a simple range to the nearest village, ...
Oracle, Settlement name: 32. A creature. The creature invented is Dinokroc, so the village name will be Krocvil.
... Krocvil, known for the unusual large feathered reptile beasts that can be trained and domesticated — Dinokrocs. They say things are getting rough in Krocvil as of late. I can't believe this, I need to discover what happened to Krin, whatever the cost, even if he is already gone. It can't happen again, like my father, and my family.
So, I ended my shift and went to talk to my superior, officer Mark One Eye, a stoic and smart man. He didn't liked that I wanted to go look for Krin, as we can't spare much more Rangers to go on expeditions right now, because there is an increase in raider activity nowadays. Mark wouldn't budge, but I went to explain the situation to Amie, a good friend of mine and leader of the Chroniclers. Then, she gave him the order to let me go out look for Krin with the condition for me to do a mission for her: go and discover what lies within the strange building north of Krocvil, near the green buildings filled with trees and plants that we know lies strange creatures. Amie thinks there is a valuable source of energy there, because that building looks similar to some old photos from energy stations from the World Before.
After the clearance, I've gather my supplies, and weapons for the expedition. Then I have my last meal with my fellow Rangers, as we always do whenever someone goes alone into the Zone. Then, the next day the gates are opened by the guards that are always protecting our community, and me and my loyal dog friend, Boy, go into a new journey.
Scene One
I close my eyes and hold the necklace with a bullet that my father gave it to me many years ago, and swear that I will find out what happened to Krin, and if possible, bring him alive.
Swear an Iron Vow: (+heart +1) = WEAK HIT [8 vs 9/1]. +1 momentum. More questions than answers, envision what you do to find a path forward.
New Vow: Discover what happened to uncle Krin (Dangerous).
I need to investigate where he was last seem. My best bet would be talking with people from Krocvil. Ok, so I start my journey to the north, to Krocvil, and go as fast as I can, taking little time to rest. There is no time to waste, every hour I wait or take, the worse is the probability of Krin suffering a terrible fate.
Undertake an Expedition: (+edge +1) = MISS [5 vs 10/9]. Journey from Metro to Krocvil [Troublesome] progress track.
Mark your Failure: 1 tick.
Oracle, Action/Theme: Explore Solution.
As I travel through the Zone, Boy warns me that some kind of threat is in the distance. We both take a detour to have a vantage point to see what is in our way. After I climb a wall with some vines, I finally see it. A pack of Vamps are feasting on some people, and their pack animal. So this is what happened to the traders that did not came back from Krocvil, I think. I count at least four, but it is possible there are more of them hiding around.

I call Boy to come with me. We need to find another way, I can't risk pass them with Boy. It is possible they could smell him, and he could attack them even if I did not commanded him to. This area has many old buildings and a depression on the other side. What is the best way around the Vamp pack?
Gather Information: (+wits) = STRONG HIT [9 vs 7/5]. +2 momentum.
Current Momentum = +5.
I can see a way that me and Boy can use. There is a balcony in the building near me covered with vines, and near the trees. "Huh", and there is some careful placed wooden planks that can be used to reach the balcony. Maybe some people already have used this way before to reach beyond the street. Ok, I need to gather some planks lying around, and create a way for Boy to climb up the balcony with me, then I can reach the other side, away from the Vamps. I need to do this as noiseless as possible. I whisper to Boy, "Boy, stay here, don't move".
Face Danger: (+shadow) = WEAK HIT [4 vs 1/4]. Troublesome cost: make a Suffer move (-1).
Sacrifice Resources: -1 supply.
Current Supply = +4.
Then, I've created a way for Boy to climb up the balcony with me. Its full of vines, grass, and leafs, it is beautiful, if not for the Vamp bastards still feasting on the corpses of another Aironkrus. I whisper, "Your fight is over now" to pay my respects to them.
In the horizon I see more buildings and a river flowing with a giant bridge over it. Many and many cars doting the landscape, as well as plants and trees. A strange light, so dim, is on the horizon, it looks like it is one of the old towers from the Ancients. Then I realize I can't any more time here, Krin needs my help.
As me and Boy cross the balcony and turn around to not be facing the Vamps, I see there is not a way for Boy to safely descend, as I feared it could happen. Fortunately, I came prepared with some ropes. I tie up Boy with the sturdy rope and descend him slowly, as well as saying to him to "stay and don't move". He obeys my command flawlessly. Then, as I make my turn to descend too, somehow I hit something made of metal, and it makes a loud noise. The world suddenly stops for a second for me, and I let go of the ropes. The fall is not so high, and my clothes are thick enough to avoid any major bruises. I hear the screech of some Vamps. I say, "Fuck", muttering to myself as Boy comes closer to me looking nervous. I can't risk our lives for a single rope. I say to dog, "follow me, run", and we begin running as fast as possible to evade the angry Vamps in the vicinity.
Scene Two

They don't follow us, until now. Lets resume our journey. This did not started well.
Undertake an Expedition: (+edge) = WEAK HIT [7 vs 1/9]. Make a suffer move (-1).
Sacrifice Resources: supply -1.
Current Supply = +3.
Progress Track: Journey from Metro to Krocvil, mark 3 progress.
We evade the Vamps for now, but it took more time than we wanted, it is becoming dark. Me and Boy need to rest in a safe place. We entered inside a house, it looks like a store of some kind, it is hard to read what the sign says, even for me, a Ranger. I give some rations to my dog, and eat some of mine. We need to find some shelter, as Vamps are very dangerous in the night. It seems the path to Krocvil are ridden with packs of Vamps.
Explore a Waypoint: (edge) = 98. Make a Discovery.
Make a Discovery: = 11. Enigmatic device or artifact of potential value.
As we explore the store, we find that it connects with another buildings, and its possible it was used by travelers as a temporary shelter. I search the area and find a deceased traveler, very old with strange clothes of blue color. It looks like he was holding something in his hands. I took it from him. It looks like a bracelet of some sorts with some blinking lights in it. It will take some time figuring it out.
Gear: Holo-bracelet [Artifact]. (+2 momentum when engage with it)
I search the area for possible things to resupply, anything that could be useful to us.
Resupply: (+wits +1) = WEAK HIT [8 vs 1/8]. +2 supply. Make a Suffer move.
Lose Momentum: -1. Because of the time lost scavenging and needing to rest.
Scavenger Asset = +1 momentum.
Current Momentum = +5.
Current Supply = +5.
Jackpot! This really was some kind of temporary shelter, there is still some canned food not too old that can be cooked, and some rope I can use for the journey. Now, lets take a rest until it is safe again to go ahead.
