The Greatest Battle Implement
The first generation of American semi-automatic rifles granted Americans unmatched firepower against Japanese, French, Balkan, Soviet, Korean and Chinese troops which were largely equipped with bolt-action rifles. These rifles add an Easy DM to suppressive fire rolls.
The BM59 is an Italian battle rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO. It is essentially a rechambered version of the M1 Garand, though redesigned for the modern infantryman. The BM59 feeds from detachable 20-round magazines, includes a folding bipod and a tri-compensator flash hider / muzzle break / rifle grenade launcher. As of the mid-1960s, the BM59 is in service with The Kingdom of Italy, The Federal Republic of Neigeland, Reichskolonie Nigeria within The Imperial Domain of Mittelafrika and in The Republic of Indonesia as the SP-1. The latter is particularly relevant as Indonesian forces armed with SP-1s have engaged Oceanykan nationals on numerous occasions, with captured rifles becoming prized possessions in their hands.
