The Locust Ant Queen is the undisputed monarch of any Locust Ant colony. It is some four metres long and a metre and a half in height, weighing nearly half a ton. Its Bioferrite-tipped mandibles can tear through thin armour with ease, while their exoskeleton allows them to block lesser blows. Locust Ant Queens are capable of flight and can spray acid much farther than their lesser forms. They are equipped with a stinger-like ovipositor with which the creature violates a prey's body, turning them into a Living Incubator for the colony's growth. This method, which ensures the young have an ample and self-sustaining food supply for a few days, is preferred by the species over simply laying the eggs upon the colony's chambers and feeding them manually, and is required to produce new queens, which emigrate from the colony with a few workers to found a new one of their own. Locust Ant Queens of the same immediate family are known to cooperate to achieve certain objectives, such as raiding and capturing large amounts of prey.
