Session 46: Good Hunting

July 30, 2022

Devinn spoke with Ilfae Gephostos about the letters she had exchanged with Thia Valkas, his mother. Apparently, they were exchanging letters each day, and Ilfae has a ball that can look into Ordus Arcanum in the Sunlands.

Arkorow asked the Archivist about the rodent ring; it must have belonged to a rat cult, one of several animalistic cults of the past. These cults and sects were among the first to be converted to be followers of J'Lynh. The Archivist also knew of a plan the rat cult had to trap Velluir (Veil) in the death mirror.

As the party wound down, they found a tea shop together with Nafir and Enoo. Most patrons were high elves, but Omooz was also there, along with two women who must have been the sisters of the two nephews. The tea shop accepted only electrum. Drazvik Renfara had a conversation with Omooz about meeting Thrizur, and Omooz assured him that his dreams meant he must go on a hunt.

Meanwhile, Galantar asked Ilfae about temporal magic. They found some common ground talking shit about peasants, though she was annoyed at being interrupted in her work for the fifth time that evening.

At the tea house, called The Missive, the party paid for and were also offered, many alcoholic teas and beverages. Drazvik Renfara got so drunk he woke up outside the temple grounds wearing a bear hide that he had killed and skinned; Arkorow woke up in an alley on the temple grounds with a jar of an unknown illegal substance; and Mordus got caught up in a bit of a romance.

Gathering at the house of Enoo the Pleasant on the 17th of Suntide, the party  made off to go hunting with Omooz. They took Nafir along. Drazvik Renfara tracked down two manticores, which the party  fought. During the fight, Galantar foolishly flew too high and plummeted to his death, though he was restored by Drazvik Renfara. Omooz and Drazvik Renfara, inspecting the manticores, learned that they were diseased and that there must be an even stronger beast to hunt in the vicinity.
