Volenta is Strahd Von Zarovich's second eldest bride. She has been a vampire for around 40 years, making her a total of around 60 years old. She was born in Vallaki, but moved to Village of Barovia, where she worked at Lumiere Du Jour. After killing several of her clients, she was chased out of the village. She wandered to Castle Ravenloft and snuck in. There, she met Strahd, who quickly took a liking to her.

Appearance
Volenta is a very short woman with pale skin and straight black hair. She is almost never seen without wearing her mask, which is a sinister skull with horns. On formal occasions, she wears a copper-colored dress, but otherwise frequently wears short overalls, tall boots, and a tool belt.
Personality
Volenta has an unsettling personality. She enjoys sneaking around and stalking people, as well as building elaborate and often deadly traps. Her other hobbies include collecting dolls and bones, which she intricately carves. She is very good at engineering machines, spending a good deal of her time in the elevator in Ravenloft. She is the most sadistic, murderous, and violent of Strahd's brides.
Volenta was Lawful Evil, until Cherish made a wish for her to be good, which caused the Apparatus to separate her into good and evil halves.
