A day later, the lifeboat was washed ashore on Dormhain, after Amhach and Margo took over piloting when the party passed out from exposure. Dragomir was back with the party when they woke up.
The party read another letter left by Amhach and took his advice, walking north along the bone beach towards Ordabaille.
The bone-strewn beach was misty and dismal, and Clio could sense undead deep in the ground, and undead figures watching them from the misty bog.
Near nightfall, the party arrived in the zombie overrun fishing village of Ordabaille. Dragomir began opening as many oysters as he could, searching for a pearl to give to Amhach. He didn’t find any. While searching, the party was attacked by zombies, animated by some living black goo. Cherish blew the door off a tavern with Shatter and the party hid inside. They manage to fight off the zombies long enough to barricade the hole where the door was.
When things calmed down, the party explored the seemingly abandoned tavern, Cherish searching for alcohol.
Down in the basement, a small band of mercenaries whose names were Mudei, The Chaos, and Dimmail, were listening to the main party above. When Clio passed over the trapdoor, The Law leaped out grabbing her around the neck, threatening her with a chakram.
Clio threw The Law across the room, and a tense moment was diffused by the owner of the pub, Hadrian, who explained that their town had been taken over by goons calling themselves the Zhentarim, and that the zombies moved in shortly after.
The two parties joined forces and agreed to defeat the Zhents, and free the countess of the village in exchange for a portion of the gold in the castle treasury. Only Dimmail didn’t come, choosing to stay behind to guard the civilians instead.
