Johannes Kal

Duke

An experienced mercenary who eventually took over command of the Company of Steel from his mentor Giancarlo Vespa; he has since passed leadership on to his former second Shaky Susan Miller.

Recently he was recognised as the legitimate son of Baron Samuel Stahl and made Baron of a small town (now called Kalsguard).

As reward for his part in preventing the return of Enyalius (perhaps exaggerated in his recounting of events), Johannes Kal has been made a Duke and his holdings expanded to include a small fortress to the north.

Darkest Timeline

In the Darkest Timeline Johannes Kal outlived the company and most of his companions, eventually becoming a hero and general of the resistance. However, it seems he blamed himself for the deaths of his subordinates and friends and eventually he took his own life.

Epilogue

Johannes is of course rather vocal and claims most of the glory as the “Leader” of the Heroes, Queen Melia makes him a Duke with holdings in Lord Bear’s lands on the northern border. Lord Bear backs this alongside Lord Raven.

He weds Helen Crane which is a little controversial as she is a commoner but everyone knows that Johannes is eccentric and most of them put it down to his common upbringing. None-the-less, it is a grand affair - Helen knows most of the nobility after all and has plenty of money to ensure that it is an event not to be missed.

Some six months after the wedding they are blessed with a son who is named Giancarlo Kal who grows up alongside his bastard sister Ameera Kal.
