Native to Val Tanza, Thaneus studied at the Heaton Academia Arcana, majoring in Evocation. After being expelled on what he claimed to be 'unjust grounds', he returned home to Tanza.
There, he lived through the Siege of Val Tanza and even saw action during the Battle of Vuoto Rano.
Afterward, he traveled north and later joined the Luno Rebellion.
With his wild magic use being noted by his superiors, he was hand-picked by Fabrizio for Operation Avalanche, during which he secured vital battle plans and killed Rinaldo di Bari with a burst of magic missiles.
During Operation Eagle's Nest, Thaneus teamed up with Argus once more, bringing Felina "Fidget" Armeggiare and Kooranak into the Luno Rebellion.
