Before he was a Hell-Knight, he once was but a member of the Town Guard. It is this shared interest that finds him commanding members of the Raganaut clan during the Morrasai Islands disaster.
From an observer's perspective, Adraxus appears to care considerably for those he commands - praising them after missions for what they did well, and offering constructive advice for their wrongs. He checks in on everyone before bed, tucking them in and is a leader who needs no guard. Even his foes are worthy of chivalrous opportunity to spare their minions through an honorable duel or negotiations. Even his prisoners know generous accommodations during their stay.
