Mojgan is not human, but was created by the Colonists who fled the destructive coreward Wave known to the Nebayans as Moonbreak. She spent many cycles tending the seedship that carried her crew of fellow Created, the colonists seeking a new home, and the Dreaming Technicians. Near the end of her memories she remembers the crew realizing that their ship may not have the wherewithal to get cross the line that was originally deemed safe from the wave's destructive force, and there was infighting on how the problem should be addressed. She does not remember a decision to land.
She woke up in ruins, discovered by the Mahfineh Ela, one of the top scavengers for the Todapat clan on Teraat's surface. Mojgan lived among his people for a short time, but was quickly sold to Kurrem Lla likely because her high caloric needs meant her burden on the group outweighed her usefulness in other areas. Kurrem gave her the name Mojgan.
Kurrem and Tavalas became her trainers and, eventually, her stand-in mother figures. Kurrem began training her as a legitimate Dancer--perhaps the only other one alive besides Kurrem herself. Unfortunately, this training required Mojgan to participate in arena matches at the Palace of Noble Deliverance. Mojgan's advantages as a Created led to a successful career once Kurrem was able to surmount Mojgan's extreme aversion to harming a human.
Her career success and status as a dancer led to her amassing many fans and critics who would sometimes protest her fights and appearances. These protestors, despite including Teraalira Narois Vihe Betuah and even Queen Azadeh Xhas herself, could not overcome her popularity.
At the conclusion of the 149th Festival of Lights, the Golden Phoenix Damondar II proclaimed that he would be freeing her (granting her the title of Tezetazatzin) and elevating her to the status of a Vosa at the 150th Festival of Lights. This led to a year of few, ceremonial fights, and relative freedom to move around the Floating Palace and Teraat's surface where she began doing research with Mahfineh and Kaved Zhan.
While Mojgan is a legitimate dancer, she has a fondness for the street dancers of the Floating Palace. She considers Nazanin Dhirbai to be her closest relationship outside of Kurrem and Tavalas whom she considers family. Mojgan plays board games with her often and has even been seen scolding young wayward youths who dared try bully the troupe's youngest girls.
