After defeating the Yak Folk, the Blue Wyrm Brigade freed their slaves and took their treasure. One of the slaves - Halani Meliamne - offered to join her. Levina offered her some magical gear from her hoard.
They descended down into Ironslag, deciding to go into combat with a fire giant taskmaster overseeing orcish slaves. After a powerful lightning breath from the dragon annihilated the fire giant, Levina had no trouble at all in convincing the slaves to stand down. She helped them undo their binds and they were free.
From the Fire Giant, she gets:
- One set of giant plate
- One greatsword
- One rusty key
Levina and her party stealthily moved to the west, where they spotted parts of the Vonindod being held by gantries. It was also her first time seeing Duke Zalto, playing with his hell hounds. Levina decided not to parlay with him and flew down stealthily, while Harshnag jumped. A fight between the Brigade and the Duke ensues, ending in Duke Zalto losing his head to Harshnag's greataxe.
Levina searches the duke's corpse and first finds the dwarf trapped in his mace. She unlocks the mace and frees Jasper Dimmercasm, a Shield Dwarf. Jasper reveals that he tried to throw his lot in with Duke Zalto, but Zalto turned on him. He asked to accompany Levina, but she refused and told him to get himself to safety.
She also found:
- A ring of lightning resistance
- A set of plate armor
- A giant maul
- A ruby pried from the eye of the Vonindod (worth 25000 gp)
She continues forward toward what she will assume are Zalto's quarters, after disguising herself and Harshnag as fire giants. She fools them into thinking they are guests of Duke Zalto.
In Zalto's room she finds:
- Cloak made from red dragon's scaly hide and wings with a necklace of engraved gold plates draped over the broad shoulders (2500 gp)
- A woman's gown made of gold ingots and rings (7500 gp)
- A bejeweled obsidian hair brush with wire bristles (750 gp)
- Hand mirror with a gilded iron handle and frame (250 gp)
- Bronze jewelry chest (250 gp)
- Six giant sized gold rings, each worth 2500 gp)
- A crude iron chest
Warfare is waged on the lock of the iron chest, and a Glyph of Warding is dispelled. Inside, Levina finds:
- A giant-sized adamantine crown set with six black opals (7500 gp)
- 6300 gp
- A Conch of Teleportation
- Gloves of Thievery
- Nolzur's Magnificent Pigments (2 pots)
