The Healer
Description: Diancecht is the god of healing and medicine to the Tuathan people, and a patron of study and crafts. His focus is on the betterment of all things through health and unity, and considers a balanced mind as important as a healthy body. This philosophy is also applied to the care and nurturing of nature and the world as well. Diancecht is part of the Tuathan Church, and also has scattered shrines and temples throughout the lands of the Tuathan people. They are also closely aligned with druidic orders in their dedication to caring for the land.
Diancecht has the appearance of a vibrant yet elderly man with white hair and a beard, wearing green and gold flowing robes, and carrying the Rod of Asclepius, the symbol of his order.
Dogma
Followers and clerics of the Healer promote healing in all its forms, both body and mind, and assisted healing and self-healing. Those that are capable, will normally provide healing free of charge (barring valuable components). There are also those that take the crafting aspect of Diancecht's teachings to heart, and these strive to create prosthetics and other items to assist the injured and those in need with their daily lives. Druids of Diancecht are known for their uncommon druidic view of placing the good of healing and people equally as important as that of nature and the land, striving for a balance between all living things.
The demon Erythnul (The Many) once attempted steal the Cauldron of Diancecht in order to subvert it to the demon's use. Diancecht also has a deep enmity for the goddess Shar due to her secretive nature and tendency towards pain and torment as opposed to healing and knowledge.
