We had strayed far from our initial quest to help that merchant with his leprechaun problem.  I am surprised that my more condensed party members have been so adaptable.

Oisin De Brun and his servants were found in a magical mirror which was destroyed, freeing them. Osin had found a remedy to free me from the medusa's spell by covering my petrified body in her blood.  It was a relief the creature was slain quickly or I fear we would have all been turned to statues. Even including almost dissolving in the sea before I came to the mainland, the state of my body being turned solid was the most unnatural.

Having freed ourselves from the prison, then the mirror and stone we found ourselves still trapped in the fortress with the door seeming to have disappeared before we could.  Not just the door but the passageway itself had vanished.  If it were just the door missing it would not have been a problem.  We exhausted every effort to solve the mystery of the missing portal. But when we could hear the chamberlain and his guards closing in on us we made a speedy escape by bailing out of one of the windows with a rope, the whole party, Oisin , and staff included. There were some falling injuries including the young lord but we had all survived the Fortress De Brun.

Notes:

1: Report Lich to the Guild

2: teach party members what a rope is and how it works (some party members disregarded it while egressing)

3: Barron Danore De Brun missing

4: 2 DeBrun servants east side of second story, Fortress DeBrun PETRIFIED

5: report completion of A Peddlers Plea

Into the Void

Great Forest
Mr. Scabbs was seriously injured. He was exploded. I patched him together best I could gluing him back together with my own slime. His little body in my arms I did what I could. He began to move again. I was so relieved to see him.. alive? He seemed to shrug it off like nothing happened. What is it like for a dead thing to die and then become undead again? Adelbert was laying motionless, again. How many times have I seen him like this? He just throws his body into the fray until his full limit, no fetter until he is beat or bled out. His eyes closed, a heap of brown like he was waiting for spring. The others were treating him while I focused on Mr. Scabbs. How many times can he keep doing this? When we broke for camp I tended to Mr. Scabbs. That mouth of his being able to just absorb things, whole beings. Like.. well almost like a slime would. It's impressive really. I feel a kindred spirit in him, though I'm not sure how he feels. The rain had broke my musing and I looked for shelter. Mr. Scabbs offered a solution. It was a level of intimacy I've never been offered by anyone, besides the mimic. He wanted me inside him. I was mortified! In front of everyone? I had no choice. I climbed in. The smell was awful. The old dive suit, I slipped inside and filled its form. From the inside his cavernous gullet I could hear rumblings and sounds I can't fully describe. I felt some relief for the protection. I would be lying if I hadn't wondered what it would be like to be engulfed by Mr.Scabbs and it actually happened!
But I wanted out! It was spooky in there. The insides of the dive suit had an ichor slurry in one of the legs, maybe a bone or two included. The liquid was sickly sweet and fetid, it was pressed into my body and diffused into my goo as I filled the space. I didn't mean to, but Mr. Scabbs assured me the snack was okay for me to have. As the bones and liquid seeped into me I felt better. It reminded me of some of the feedings from my greater ooze I had as a gloop. The taste of the oil coating of the dive suit was starting to wear off and I could begin to taste the leather walls. What would happen if the suit wasn't there? Would I be lost in this void? While I could fill the suit perfectly, I wasn't sure the space it was in had form I could fill. It was dark, I felt weightless in there, the only thing that I could make out was the opening of his mouth. I poked my head out to peek on occasion to see where we were but I floated in that space. It was much larger inside than Mr. Scabbs little body on the outside. I could feel random objects bump into me against the suit. We traveled like that until I could feel us stop. Mr. Scabbs suggested I could lurk in there for a surprise attack. But my curiosity of being absorbed by Mr. Scabbs was well sated and the rain finally stopped. I was ready to slide into something more comfortable. We couldn't have reached the Cave of Peril a moment too soon.
