    Session Summary

  • Jedi were summoned to the mining planet Corina by an anonymous message claiming the world was suffering under ‘evil overlords’
  • Initially welcomed by a corporate executive who explained that they had taken over management of the world and its mines after missed quotas but the Jedi were immediately tense and suspicious.
  • Scouting around the town to try and get a sense for what was going on, the Jedi spotted Pyke enforcers among the populace.
  • Checking in with town citizens and mining droids, they found that most were unhappy with the corporation and couldn’t understand how the quotas had supposedly been missed which contradicted the executives cover story.
  • Jedi were approached by a local “Resistance” cell led by a teenage girl named Chama who informed them they were the ones calling the order.
  • Looking to find evidence of corporate wrongdoing, the Jedi hatched a plan to break into the executive’s office during the night.
  • After downloading the evidence of material embezzlement, a minor fight with security droids broke out, but the Jedi were able to exit the office swiftly.
  • The local teenagers took matters into their own hands with the new information, going to the town square and trying to rally the people
  • With the help of the Jedi backing them up, the Townsfolk were convinced.
  • Pyke enforcers tried to silence the local teenagers and fought the padwans and initates.
  • Swift Intervention of Knight Andrim, as well as the Students own combat merit ended the fight with most pykes subdued.
  • A more legitimate business is in the process of being established with the planet.

Narrative Section (Atunya)

Hey Dad, I promised to write you the first time life in the Order got me hurt.

Well, yesterday I got hurt, trying to protect some poor teens who got under the ire of criminal enforcers. Luckily it was just a nasty leg injury, which I still have to get looked at though.
Other than that, im fine, more than fine actually, the mission I assisted was truly worthwhile.
Remember those mining colonies far north of the Dac Sector? We encountered a similar “corperate owned” world, enforced by the suppression of those criminals that shot me.
Thankfully, the whole reason we traveled to the planet was a distress signal sent  by the some kids of the workers forced to toil in the mines, dedicated to righting that wrong, even when everyone else in the community already lost hope.

You know, Im sure you would agree if I told you they reminded me of some other teens with a boundless well of justice and hope in them.

I wish people of their age didnt have to take matters into their own hands like this, but they actually did help us and the Knight leading us, even if we had to explain the importance of solid evidence for situations like this to them, but you truly cant expect kids who have never done something like this to just know that themselves.

Anyway, the Ascension pistol mom gave me really came in clutch, allowing us to access some files of that corpo exec just in time to avoid an actual fight with security droids for the most part,
The knight had to intervene just a bit.

Did you know he is an engineer, just like mom? I heard he works on the ships the Order uses, thats pretty cool I would say. His use of a lightsaber is also impressive, even if I feel like he wouldnt admit that himself.

So there we were, plans secured, with a bunch of angry teens ready to rebell.

We should have known that no matter what we tell them, they would act immediately, which they did.

A truly rousing speech from them to the citizens, at least after some encouraging words by a Padawan called Thalia Drevan.

All the time it took for me to understand the psychology of teaching and it only took her minutes to employ them.

Is she a better student than I was, or have I just become a good teacher? Who knows.
Of course such kind of instigation would anger these Pyke enforcers, they actually drew Blasters on us and the kids.

Elias, an Initiate with the same optimism as those local kids genuinely tried to talk down these thugs. Who would know kindness could be so truly brave.

Sadly the Pykes were convicted to end us, which quickly lead to my blaster wound, but just as quickly lead to Padawan Aryn Dessika to knock the winds out of their leader and throw them on the ground and the rest of the Group to ignite their sabers.

We were outnumbered at least 3 to 1 though and I wasnt the only one to get hurt.
Thankfuflly the quick thinking of Xibakr'kela'lordai and her pet Menace (he is much frendlier than the name implies) alerted the knight, who helped us turn the battle in our favor.

Despite all that violence, im sure we did the right thing. You know the stories of Jedi we were told? Where they swoop in at a moment of darkness, giving people just the hope to fight on their own? This was just like one of those stories. From a community stuck in defeatism with only the best of them willing to resist, to a reinvigorated town, ready to fight for what they believe, all from seeing their oppressors knocked to the ground and the story that comes with it. A story enabled by the force, I think

At least thats how I would explain this collection of fateful circumstances.

Hope to hear, or read from you soon, love you
