The group went back to the Millennium Forest to root out the source of the screaming in the crevice. After a friendly visit with Maranthede, we went to the tiny village, Willow Creek. We successfully descended into the crevice, entirely mostly avoided the pit trap, and explored the old ruins. We found some treasure, defeated a large slime mold, and burned down a kingly bloodlasher yellow musk creeper and its thrall court.
We then took a visit at an old library, researching ancient tomes for a few hours. Taro learned how to craft Yellow Musk Toxin before a giant-angry tree person emerged and rudely attacked the group. They only spoke Sylvan, but apparently they said, “Something about being locked away, a curse, the great Leafen Blade's vengeance, blah blah blah,” at least according to Tamiko Sato of House Miyagawa. After defeating the foe, we all went back to studying, discovering the treasure of folktales (Folklorist Archetype) and actual treasure, the group returned back to the surface to Tamiko Sato of House Miyagawa's ox and Spaghetti (who was totally there the entire time).
