Full Report

Following up on an obscured vision (see Rat Archeology), the party set rocky sail to the immense forest, which they found overcrowded with all kinds of deathless, oversized, hybridized flora and fauna. Their first day was peaceful, but they didn't dare forage. The next day they realized a verdant owl watching them was a blodeuwedd (Wedy), and successfully convinced him to lead them toward answers, though not before a test of tracking, stealth, and combat skills. (And noticing the forest's life magic was slowly affecting their emotional state, subconsciously calming.)

They reached his student and ward, an innocently friendly and curious young ghoran girl seen in the vision and grown in All-Seasons Forest (see The Blind Leading the... Why is She in Front Again?), who had been led to the forest by her Mother (the Verdant, a wordless voice; see Insert A Relevant Quest Here or we'll just allude to what she did) to calm its inhabitants and minimize death for growth. Though nameless, the "child of the blessing one" offered what she knew and led them closer to the Mother after a night's rest of Vhel being contacted. They arrived at a memorial to former "children" and a sealed temple, source of the life energy. Tamiko communed with the entity and learned the site, a cradle or "womb", had forgotten death after one of two murders, and the Verdant expected to escape and balance the cycle of life. Uncorrupted, the party left the girl a token.
