Damin hasn't resurrected yet. I'm not sure if he made plans for it to happen. Well, until it can be determined whether or not I have to send his belongings to his next of kin in the Old World, I suppose I, Young Elder, will write this report.
The four of us- Damin, myself, Guhdhag, and Geld- all meet up in the Pug. Damin and I brief the others on Bogaolg, a captain in Olog's Pact, a.k.a. The Horde. The boy has a lead that the Captain is in Southerreach. We begin our trek and quickly find a shrine along the way with some primal rituals. We didn't have time to stop so I could learn them, so we moved on without attempting to learn any. I mean to return.
We eventually find a destroyed orc camp. While we scratch our heads, Gasa and her eidolon Anduinath reveal themselves as the perpetrators. She also wants revenge and joins us. While we chat, a group of five orcs show up. We slaughter them with ease and leave one alive- a scout captain named Yargol. He is easily coerced into leading us to Southerreach, where Bogaolg is holed up.
There are vrock demons at the gate. Neat. Under Yargol's word, we pass by them into the city. It's bleak and miserable. The local orc population is kowtowing to all the demons that are just up and walking about. Surely, Bogaolg has made deals with more demons than just that witch Unknown. We start tailing some orc cultists and regular soldiers walking around, and they lead us to some run-down building. Turns out, the cultists are sacrificing the orc soldiers to feed the demons. So after the soldiers are dead, we intervene and kill a few cultists and demons. Easy. We take one hostage.
This cultist answers literally every question we pose. Where is Bogaolg, how fortified is his position, who's guarding him, etc etc. It was very kind of him to do so. Anyway, I executed him when we were done with the interrogation. We find shelter at a local inn and sleep peacefully, then in the morning, Damin gives me an item that allows me to speak Orcish. Geld and I either persuade or threaten the local soldier populace to not come to Bogaolg's aid when we attack.
So then we attack the fortress. Some guards let us in, thinking it would be a good trap, but we killed their whole legion easily. Then we headed into the main building of the fort where we saw Bogaolg, his top demonologist, and his top general. The ensuing battle was... difficult. Though Damin and I took down the demonologist quickly, Gudhahg was locked into a vicious 1-on-1 with the general while Geld and Gasa and their two dragons dealt with Bogaolg.
Ultimately, Damin landed a lethal blow on Bogaolg that would have killed a lesser man. But the orc was tough, and he murdered Damin in return. Then Guhdhag killed Bogaolg, and my eidolon Sigillaria killed the general.
Gasa promptly left. I displayed the bodies of our foes for all Southerreach to see, and the demons began massacring the townsfolk. Oh well. We left.
