Bronn Redscar

High Pit-Chaplain

Bronn Redscar is a veteran goliath and the High Pit-Chaplain of the Church of the Iron Gauntlet in Goblintown's Red Pits, known for his scarred presence and uncompromising sense of martial honor.

Once a celebrated arena fighter, he survived decades of brutal matches that left his body etched with ritual scars, each marking a victory, a near-death, or a lesson learned in the pit. After retiring from active combat, he turned to spiritual service, dedicating himself to guiding fighters through the moral and ritual dimensions of violence. Bronn is both feared and admired for his presence in the arena circles.

As Pit-Chaplain, Bronn oversees blessings before combat, rites for fallen gladiators, and the adjudication of disputes resolved through sanctioned duels. His blessings are believed to steady the mind and sharpen resolve, while his disapproval can end a fighter’s reputation overnight. Though stern and often severe, he shows genuine care for those under his spiritual protection, frequently intervening to ensure injured fighters receive proper treatment or safe retirement.

He is widely respected for his strict but fair interpretation of honor, refusing to condone cruelty, cheating, or unnecessary slaughter even in the bloodiest arenas. To him, combat must remain a test of skill and courage, not a spectacle of senseless brutality. To the warriors of the Red Pits, Bronn is more than a priest—he is the living embodiment of the Iron Gauntlet’s creed, a reminder that strength is nothing without honor to guide it.
