Stephen Workman orders them to destroy the servers proactively, greatly diminishing the effectiveness of the network but protecting the Masquerade. They follow his orders and do so, but make backups of some of the data. This data is now known as “The 08 Archive” and is greatly sought after for its secrets.

    • Modius is deposed as Prince of Gary, Indiana after a ghoul lets slip that it is he who is responsible for the deaths of numerous Kindred in the city after sending Sullivan Dane a box full of intelligence. With the blessing of Annabelle Triabell, Modius is placed under arrest by the Anarchs.
    • Unknown declares himself the Baron of Gary though not popular among some quarters of the Anarchs.
    • Both Modius and Unknown disappear in Gary and there is a lot of speculation what happened from the two took each other out or they were eliminated by the Anarchs themselves.
    • Donald John Trump becomes the 45th U.S. President.
    • Karsh, Warlord of the Camarillaa, leads a strike force into San Francisco and destroys nearly all of the Eastern Kindred. Prince Winder is put into torpor in the fighting. Karsh now resides in the city watching over Winder’s torpid body and supposedly waiting for a powerful leader to seize control.
    • Giovanni members of the Unknown return to the city, brokering a deal with Karsh to resume influence over banking in return for their help against the anti-banking Anarch based out of nearby San Jose. The clan is centred on the Financial District downtown.
    • The Lasombra are formally inducted into the Camarilla. Bishop Emory, the sole surviving member of a Sabbat pack who once ruled Portland Oregon, comes to San Francisco and presents the body of a Lasombra elder as the price of admittance into the Camarilla.
    • The players are invited to attend the Prince Kevin Jackson's Court which is being held at the The Art Institute of Chicago which is frequented  by the large majority of the Vampires of Chicago. The Prince had called the meeting to discuss his choice of Sheriff, Damien, as some of the Vampires of the city are not happy with his choice. At this point the players will notice Thomas Ewell "Balthazar" storm out of the meeting.
    • At the start of the Prince's Court the players are taken aside by Senechal Alan Sovereign who warns the players that the Prince Kevin Jackson does not really like the players but he has no issue with the players.
    • As the players are at the Prince's Court they are accosted by Rosa Hernandez, the Gangrel Primogen of Chicago who warns the players not to have any dealings with the Werewolves as she knows they have dealt with them in the past.
    • Near the end of the Prince's Court the players will be approached by Unknown who will ask the players for a little favour which will be to babysit her Childe, Unknown, the next evening while they show him the night life of the city.
    • On the way out of the Prince's Court Marie sees a robed figure with wooden mask which seams strangely familiar.
    • After which the players are approached by a little girl who turns out to be Unknown someone they have not seen in 20 years. She asks the players to follow her as her master wants to talk to them.
    • Unknown will lead the players to the fountain in Grant Park behind the The Art Institute of Chicago where the players meet Unknown again who reacquaint himself with the players again after 20 years.
  • Thursday 21st May 2020 CE (Chicago)

    Thursday 21st May 2020 CE
    • A second patch of burning, ash and human bone fragments are found at the North-East corner of the roof of The Mart Building by Security Guard who was investigating a report of a fire seen on the top of the building in the morning on this day. This is the second Vampire victim of the Black Madonna who dumped the body there the night before. The location of the building is shown on World of Darkness map as Unknown location.
    • Renata Vitale wakes up to a message via Unknown that Unknown would like to see all the players at the Coit Tower at midnight.
    • Renata Vitale also is given a secure phone from the Unknown which she can use to talk to him directly.
    • Unknown once again calls Felix Manticore and Philip Dunsirn to ask them to come to Unknown but she cannot get in contact with Philip Dunsirn again.
    • Both Unknown and Felix Manticore meet at Unknown before the meeting during which they are haunted by the Masked figures again who pass on the cryptic message, that he is back in the Windy City, helping the Madonna scura and a mother has taken the wrong path.
    • After the visit Renata Vitale is convinced the masked figures are talking about the return of Unknown someone she met some 20+ years ago in Chicago. She also informs Felix Manticore that he had knack of going in and out of the Underworld and at one point killed one of her companions ghouls using a sword which faded away much like the mask they found on their doorstep earlier.
    • Renata Vitale also informs Felix Manticore that Unknown was shot some 20 years ago by a James W. Bell in Chicago. She decides to send James W. Bell a message via Annabelle Triabell informing him that Unknown is back.
    • After this both Renata Vitale and Felix Manticore go to the Coit Tower to meet with Unknown but find she is not there and whole area around the tower is unusually quiet.
    • Both are attacked by a big bleeding werewolf like creature which is tripped twice by Felix Manticore in effort to stop it attacking Renata Vitale who shots it before it runs off into the night.
    • After which they discover from the tracks the creature appeared and disappeared from nothing. Renata Vitale suspects that Unknown had some thing to do with the summoning of the creature.
    • Felix Manticore tastes the blood of the creature to find it was not Vampire, Mortal but something different. He will also discover the blood tastes heavily of Sulphur.
