FSRD AKM-64/SP

The AKM-64/SP (Special Purpose) is an Oceanykan assault rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm and based in the standard AKM design. However, because it is meant to equip Federal Special Research Division troops, which typically face otherworldly enemies, it is heavily customised to the user's benefit. The grip, handguard, stock and magazines are manufactured from strong, light polymers giving the weapon a space-age feel despite using the good, old and reliable AKM system. Its metallic parts, including the receiver and barrel, are almost entirely made from Bluesteel for greater physical stress resistance, thermal protection and accuracy, giving it a Reinforced Frame out of the box, which allows this rifle to fire Armour Piercing Hellshot munitions. Noticeably, the barrel is chrome-lined and manufactured to match-grade standards. Finally, it comes factory-equipped with both a Soviet PO 3.5x21P Scope and an American Laser Products Model 7LSM Laser Sight, giving the FSRD combatant a much higher hit probability at any range.
