Samira al-Thani

Master of the Tower Arcana, First of the Circle

Title: Master of the Tower Arcana, First of the Circle
Role: Supreme Arcanist of Ashkarin, Keeper of the City’s Mystical Integrity

Description:
Samira al-Thani moves like a whisper of midnight across a canvas of stars. Her sharp features are framed by a perpetual cloak of deep blue and stark white, a mantle that seems to drink the light around her. Her eyes, pale and distant, shimmer faintly—as if two fading stars were trapped behind her gaze.

Those who meet her often find themselves struggling to recall if she ever actually blinked.

Personality:
Cold, detached, and brilliant, Samira al-Thani sees the world as a latticework of possibilities—each move, each decision woven into a grand pattern only she seems to perceive. She speaks little, listens much, and acts without warning.
To Samira, loyalty is a convenience, morality is a strategy, and curiosity is the truest virtue.

Role in Ashkarin:
Officially, Samira advises the Invincible Overlord, Amir Vexley, Invincible Overlord, on all matters arcane and ensures the city's magical defenses remain unbroken. She guards the integrity of Ashkarin’s magical fabric, overseeing rogue spellcasters, dangerous relics, and forbidden knowledge.
Unofficially, she shapes policy, influences arcane appointments, and subtly redirects adventuring efforts—particularly those concerning Stonehell and the ancient things buried within it.

Rumors and Secrets:

  • Some whisper that Samira’s true loyalty is not to Ashkarin, but to the hidden veiled geometries of Math’s Pattern—an ancient, reality-shaping force older than the city's foundations. See Gods.

  • Others claim she communes with things that dream in the blind spaces between stars, and that her deepest work involves rewriting destiny itself.

Factions She Commands:

  • Samira’s Circle: An elite cabal of scholars, illusionists, and war-mages loyal to Samira’s will first, Ashkarin second.

  • Seekers of the Pattern: A secretive order of mathematicians and metaphysicians who believe reality can be mapped—and altered—through ancient formulas.

  • Stonehell Trust (influence): Through subtle pressure, Samira controls much of the permission process for Stonehell expeditions, ensuring certain areas remain undisturbed... for now.
