Klyn was a regular presence at the temple—devout to the point of discomfort. She studied the ancient texts on older forms of elvish and recited hymns in dialects unfamiliar to many elven clergy. Fasted when no one asked her to. Practiced rites older than the stones they were carved into.

She was never invited into temple service. She asked too many questions.

Guild Interpretation:
Dismissed by the temple as a “nonconforming half-blood,” she was viewed as pious but harmless—a profile that suited our needs.

In hindsight, her zeal—religious and arcane alike—should have marked her as a risk.

• Rewrote a Wheelmarked cipher glyph during trial—created her own bypass through an alchemical ward, unaided.

• Created and deployed a clever alchemical decoy that we did not teach her (“Golem Bait”), to draw the construct guard from patrol.

• Breached rooftop veil wards without known keys or aid.

• Gained access to a hidden, sealed vault reserved for noble holdings.

What she took:
Only the Sunshard of Alvestra — a relic of unknown provenance, sealed in a thaumaturgic clasp.

She left untouched a fortune in valuables from noble houses: heirlooms, soul-coffered gems, and rings with histories worth a thousand lifetimes.

She took one thing. And vanished.
