Description
Tabaxi, or as often referred to by Caldar people; "Cat People" is the result of a genetic mix of a human with cat. Two gods, despite their differences, came together to design this race. One wanted a race that can understand the natural worlds and specifically smaller animals, their way of life, their needs and how to coexist. The other wanted a race with natural hunting instincts, a quiet ambusher. Several animal-human combination were attempted. Combinations with dogs, bears, hyenas, snakes and wolves. Some of those ideas were interesting enough to be shelved for another race, other were simply discarded. The answer came from the fusion with a cat. Tabaxi they were named, which means "feral human", and they were placed to live close to other beastfolk races. Their natural curiosity did not allow them to stay confined in that continent. They were amongst the first animal-hybrids to seek out more civilized environments and leave behind the bestial ways.
Tabaxi people display thick body fur of various colorations, a feline head, claws and a tail. They range for 3 to 5 feet tall and are very agile. They often have playful personalities and enjoy all types of chasing or hunting games. They often get distracted by falling objects and dislike getting wet, as their fur takes too long to dry and weighs them down.

They naturally curious, playful and have strong hunter instincts. Their morals tend to be on the chaotic side, but can be good or evil all the same.

Tabaxis live up to 80 years.

Tabaxis are one of the most accepted monstrous races, viewed usually as friendly and playful. Few know how tricky and deceitful they can be.

Tabaxi Traits
As a tabaxi, you have the following racial traits.
Ability Scores: Increase your Dexterity by 1.
Creature Type: You are a Humanoid.
Size: You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you select this race.
Speed: Your walking speed is 30 feet (25 if your size is Small), and you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed.
Cat’s Claws: You can use your claws to make unarmed strikes. When you hit with them, the strike deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier slashing damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Cat’s Talent: You have proficiency in the Perception and Stealth skills.
Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.
Feline Agility: Your reflexes and agility allow you to move with a burst of speed. When you move on your turn in combat, you can double your speed until the end of the turn. Once you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you move 0 feet on one of your turns.
Languages: Your character can speak, read and write (writing requires INT score 6 or higher) Common and one other language of your choice that you and your DM agree is appropriate for your character's backstory. A list of languages and their regions can be found in Languages.
