Description
When Iskar was almost done with his best creation, the Gnomes, the silver fragments saw their potential and knew that this spelled bad news for them. Together with the Elves and the Dwarves that was the 3rd race with such long lifespan and the potential to be a dominant power in this new world. The schematics of the dwarven race were shared with Maldos, thus they had no chance of turning that race to their own goals. The three goddesses were also too fond of their elves to let them adjust anything there. That left the Gnomes as the only option and hope for them. They approached Iskar and made a deal. In exchange of allowing Iskar to tinker with their flying race, Kenku, plus their mischievous Kobolds, Iskar would give them half the schematics of the Gnome race. Zeriax and Krevor took the designs and started an attempt to make the most cunning, evil and twisted version of a Gnome. For the most part, they succeeded. Goblin was the name of this new race. Their size and physiology was almost indentical to Gnomes, just ugly with some bigger teeth and green skin coloration. What wasn't given in the schematics included the Gnomish lifespan and affinity for magic. The silver gods didn't care about that much. They purposely decreased the lifespan to around 50 years, as a long life can bring wisdom, and that was something they did not want. Goblins were given the ability to have many offspring with little toll of the mother's body and almost painlessly. That made goblins increase in population uncontrollably filling the Savage Lands with many mischievous creatures. Soon after the shared language of the Savage Lands become the Goblin language.
