Overview

[Type below:] Write a short (around 100 words) overview of who your character is. Content, written in orange letters like this, will not be visible when you are done. It's simply there to provide guidance]

I am a trader of secrets, favors, and information. Everyone wants something and everyone needs something and its my job to help them get it…for a price.

Early Life

[Type below:] Where did your character grow up? What place do they call "home" now? (could be the same or different.) [75 words max] The locations don't have to be named. It can be described. Growing up locations play a role on what your character knows about the area. Some races might have specific locations they came from. If uncertain, ask the DM.

I grew up with my twin sister, Sylvanna, on Outcast Island. On the outside, our family leads a church dedicated to the teachings of Izalith. Behind the scenes, we are working with our master, The Lord of Nightwatch, to extend the influence of vampires across the world.

[Type below:] Who raised your character and how? What are these people doing now? [75 words max] name at least 2 characters, preferably 3-4, that played an important role in your upbringing.

Our parents, Master Thorn and Eldress Morgana raised my sister and I to be devout followers of the Lord of Nightwatch. Master Thorn and Sylvanna formed a stronger bond due to their equally chaotic nature, while me and Eldress Morgana bonded over our shared interest in finding out information.

[Type below:] How did your attribute scores affect your character? [175 words max] How did your strengths and weaknesses formed your life? For instance, did a 20 STR push you into manual labor, as you could handle it easily? Did a low CON make you often sick and had to travel to the capital for medicine? Did a high CHA make it easy to make friends?

My natural charm drew people to me without any effort, and I eventually learned to leverage that ability with my extensive knowledge of people and their habits. My exceptional memory and general intelligence made it easy for me to recognize details and formulate effective plans. I saw how much people would sacrifice to get what they want, and I wanted to take advantage.

Although I was frail, I used that to my advantage to manipulate people into doing heavy lifting for me (literally).

I can never know enough, and my curiosity is never sated.

Defining Events

[Type below:] What made your character obtain the class they have now? [75 words max] Why did you become a Fighter and not a Barbarian? What incident pushed you to your class choice?

Our teachings have shown us that the Lord will reach out to each of us when it is time for us to join him. When it was my turn, he came to me in the form of one of my contacts. When I went to look procure the information, it was an ominous tome, and I could hear his voice speaking to me from it.

[Type below:] What your character doing in recent years before the campaign's start? [75 words max] In the last 2–3 years, what had your character been doing?

In the most recent years, I have ascended to the role of Inquisitor within the information gathering arm of our church. There is almost nothing that can be hidden from me. Mother, Eldress Morgana is the High Inquisitor and leader, and she is training me to take over for her.

Currently, I direct a group of 5 changelings throughout the city to run our information broking. We operate under the guise of “The Targe” an old woman that can seemingly answer any question and find out anything about anyone given time.

[Type below:] What motivated your character to leave their previous lifestyle and become adventurers? [120 words max] Nobody decides to endanger themselves without good reason. Were you forced to leave your previous lifestyle? What happened that changed you from a safe job, like a farmer, to an adventurer?

My sister and I both lamented being stuck on this island, only receiving care when one of the other races decided to pay attention to us. I could feel the power of the Lord being wasted as we spent our time on this island. There was nothing new to learn and nothing new to experience. When the chance for us to leave this place arose, I could feel my heart race and my brain throb as I thought about how much information was out in the world. And it was mine for the taking.

My second driver to leave the island is to connect with Vaazek again.

[Type below:] What short/long term goals does your character have? [75 words max] If the world continued in its peaceful state, what would you'd be working towards for?

My short-term goals have been to acquire as much knowledge as possible to satiate my curiosity, ensure the longevity of my family, and the ideals further the ideals of the Lord. Within the church, my goal is to replace my mother as High Inquisitor when she decides to move on.

My long-term goal is be given the greatest gift of becoming a vampire.

Relationships

[Type below:] Which people are important for your character? [75 words max] Who does your character consider important at the start of the campaign? Name at least 2 other people.

My twin sister is my best friend. She is unhinged and I have been told I can be inflexible, so we try to balance each other out.

Unbeknownst to anyone else in the church, I have started a romantic relationship with Vaazek, the tiefling son of a rich mining noble from Darna. I originally thought that our connection would lead to us making his father a servant of our Lord, but it has grown in a way I wasn’t expecting.

[Type below:] What connections do your character have to the other player characters? [175 words max] communicate with the other players and create two positive connections with two other player characters. Could have been friendship, coworkers, family relation or any relation that results in some degree of trust

[Type below:] Name an agreement you have made to another player character that you would honor. [75 words max] Communicate and agree on what agreement your character has made to one of the two other characters (you have connections to), that you wouldn't break.

[Type below:] What are some good personality qualities that your character has as an adventurer? [75 words max] To ensure that the group doesn't have problematic characters everyone else will hate, tell us why would others trust and like your character as a fellow adventurer

I am constantly assessing my surroundings, trying to find things I can use to my advantage, whether that is a burning torch, or an argument I am eavesdropping on. On top of that, I have an excellent memory that can always be relied on.

I can also be trusted to make a sound decision that will put myself and my allies into a better position while keeping our motives concealed

Flaws

[Type below:] What has your character done in the past, that they now deeply regret?[75 words max] This is more for plot hooks. It could be a missed opportunity or something they feel bad about.

My relationship with Vaazek has become…a bit of a mess. I have enjoyed being with him more than I care to admit (to him or anyone else). Although I am able to focus on my mission, occasionally my mid will drift to thinking of him. My Lord has charged me with usurping this family and bringing them under his control over time, but I when I think of Vaazek, my conviction begins to waver…

Personality

Background
I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge that leads me to study my surroundings and analyze every part of a conversation for angles I can use to my advantage. Because I'm always listening, I think before I act. I can be abrasive and straightforward once I have my mind set. It is difficult to get me to react to things or to act out of character

Ideals
My ideals are rooted in my curiosity. I believe that in order to become powerful, we need as much information as we possibly can find. People will do anything for information, so the more information we can obtain, the more people will flock to our Lord.

Mannerisms
I make sure that I am in control of myself at all times (giving any indication of what I think is a detriment to me)

Goals
I am looking for important pieces of information to send to the Lord to prove my worth
