The Earthen Eternal is a gargantuan monument dedicated to the memory of Avatar Umber, the legendary Earth Avatar. Fashioned through divine Earth-Rifting, the statue is located on a peninsula on the southernmost tip of The Earth Realm, offering a commanding view of the surrounding land and sea. Carved from the very bedrock of the earth, The Earthen Eternal stands several hundred feet tall. The stony visage of Avatar Umber, stern and resolute, gazes out across the realm. His facial features are detailed with such precision that onlookers often feel as if the eyes of the Avatar himself are upon them.
His pose is seated, mimicking a natural throne with the earth fashioned as his grand seat. The posture is one of vigilance and readiness, one hand resting on a knee and the other clutching the earth as if about to rise from his seat at any moment. The stone torso is sculpted to reflect the powerful physique of the Avatar, while the lower half of the monument melds seamlessly into the mountainside as if Umber himself had risen from the land. This imposing figure is garbed in the typical attire of an Earth Avatar. Stony folds mimic a robe draped around his form, and the detailed etchings of swirling tattoos, much like those seen on modern Earth Genasi, flow around his muscular arms and face.
Around the statue, the earth subtly shifts and moves in a constant, slow rhythm, a testament to the living nature of the earth and the enduring power of the Avatar. This rhythmic movement is believed to be a remnant of Umber's earth control abilities, creating a perpetual and living memorial. The Earthen Eternal serves as a symbol of protection and warning to all who venture into the Earth Realm. The might of Umber, etched in the stone for all eternity, deters ill-intent and reminds every onlooker of the power and resilience of the earth itself.
