The Snake Cult had long been thought to be a relic of the past, but in recent years, it has resurged under the leadership of two powerful individuals: Kassim the Eye and Zoltan the Fang.
Kassim, the elder of the local town of Torbah, had long been a devotee of the Snake Cult. He had spent years studying their ancient texts and had become obsessed with the idea of resurrecting The Great Serpent. He believed that with the power of Rozan's Eye and a dark ritualistic sacrifice, he could bring the Wyrm back to life.
Zoltan the Fang, a fearsome Yuan-ti Pureblood warrior joined forces with Kassim. He saw the potential power that could come with the resurrection of The Great Serpent and pledged his allegiance to Kassim's cause. Together, they amassed a powerful following within the cult, gathering acolytes and believers from all corners of The Sands of Serrakhan.
Their plan came to fruition when Kassim threw himself into the depths of the temple's caves, sacrificing himself to bring The Great Serpent back to life. The Wyrm emerged with its flesh reincarnated, wreaking havoc across the desert and causing destruction wherever it went.
However, The Sunsations adventuring party, a group of renowned heroes, were not content to let the Snake Cult's plan go unchallenged. They embarked on a perilous journey to stop the resurrection of The Great Serpent and put an end to the Snake Cult's reign of terror in the events of the Serpents Showdown.
In a heated battle, The Sunsations faced off against The Great Serpent and its followers. Though the battle was fierce, The Sunsations emerged victorious, destroying The Great Serpent and putting an end to the Snake Cult's plans.
Since then, the cult has been disbanded and its followers scattered. However, whispers still persist of a few remaining devotees who seek to bring The Great Serpent back to life once more. The legacy of the Snake Cult lives on, a reminder of the dangers of fanaticism and the power of belief.
