Coven of the Pearl

Hag Coven

A scheming coven of turned Sea Hags, the Coven of The Pearl is a covetous group of deformed witches which once were apart of the Eldar Court. Plotting against the Sea Avatar to steal the 'Pearl of the Sea' as they believed it to be named, the coven was grossly deformed after seeking its power too closely. Corrupted by the overwhelming strength of what they wished to hold within their grasp, the Coven allied with the Sahuagin 'Sea Devils' to enact their revenge upon the city of Atla, and the entirety of The Sea Realm.

The Coven's dark and twisted history is intertwined with a sinister deal made with an ancient Abeloth lurking in the depths of Abythis. In their quest for power, the members of the Coven sought to deceive Avatar Typhon, once the object of Mistress Mayven's love, into attacking the Sahuagin and driving them into the treacherous depths of Abythis. To accomplish this treacherous feat, they coveted the Penitent Pearl, a mystical artifact of immense power. Each member of the Coven underwent a terrible transformation due to their greed and lust for power, as shown below).

  • Mistress Mayven (aka Mistress of The Mire): Coven matriarch and Avatar Typhon's former beloved, Mayven was driven to madness, and her appearance twisted to resemble an electric eel as her undying love for Typhon turned into bitter resentment.
  • Unknown: Once a prominent member of the Eldar Court, Wetty Wanda was transformed into a squid-like creature with dark sorcery powers, specializing in manipulating the turbulent tides of the sea.
  • Crabs Carmilla: The youngest and most naive of the Coven, Carmilla was transformed into a crab-like creature. Her innocence was shattered as she succumbed to the madness brought about by the Penitent Pearl.

Together, they make up the Coven of The Pearl, a malevolent trio driven by vengeance and a desire to bring chaos to the Sea Realm. Their twisted forms and sinister powers are a reflection of their corrupt hearts and the terrible price they paid for their ambition.
