The Von Carsteins were a depraved family of vampires which resided within the Burned Woods and eventually the The Ebony Tower after being conscripted by the mad king Leonardo. A group of twisted siblings which once came from the depths of the Underhollow, the Von Carsteins lived to torment the living which wandered within the maddening woods they called home. After a particularly bloody civil war against Leonardo, the family was culled until only three of its members survived. The surviving members of the family from this massacre include Ulric, Craven, and Leopold Von Carstein.
