Caste out from society for her abhorrent appearance, even in the City of Evernight's standards, Ritzel lived amongst the filth and rodents in the sewers beneath the dark city. Being infected with the wererat plague, Ritzel grew increasingly mad and developed a unique bond with the rodents which lived in the sewers where she presided. After meeting a one, Ghadrah, an unlikely alliance was formed to take revenge upon the surface dwellers of The Netherveil, spreading the wererat plague along with an outbreak of Illithid spores.
