In the days of The Sun Realm, when the empire of the Solir was at the height of its power and glory, Decimus was a figure of unmatched strength and valor. He was not only a decorated general; he was a living legend, a gladiatorial champion whose name was etched into the tomes of history. Decimus led his men into countless battles against the Red Dragons and Fire Giants that threatened their existence, his destructive mace smashing through the strongest of steel with a force that was as relentless as the sun itself. He was a warrior whose physical prowess and strategic mind made him a revered figure among the Solir, a symbol of the empire's indomitable will.
But that was before the betrayal of Malekith, the Usurper... When Malekith turned the power of the sun against the Solir, Decimus was among those who suffered the greatest. His once-proud form was consumed by the searing light, reduced to a mere shadow of its former self. Yet, his rage and thirst for battle remained. Cast into The Shadowfell, Decimus was transformed into a towering creature of pure, unbridled fury. No longer the noble general he once was, Decimus became one of the Shadowlords and the de-facto military leader of the City of Evernight, ruling over the Gloomguard with an iron grip.
Decimus's reign of terror reached its zenith during the Battle of the Four Armies, where he led the forces of Evernight into the fray. As Vecna activated the Soulmonger Crystal, Decimus stood defiant atop a mountain of blood and guts, the last man standing amidst the carnage. But his victory was short-lived. Weakened by the battle, Decimus retreated to the Ebony Fortress, only to be ambushed by The Sunsations. Captured and taken to Raven Rock, Decimus became a bargaining chip in a desperate exchange for their friend Talyen and the Ebony Amulet.
Even in defeat, the legacy of Shadowlord Decimus looms large over the City of Evernight. He is a creature of rage, a shadow of the once-great general who led the Solir to countless victories. Now, he is trapped in a prison of his own making, consumed by the very darkness that he once sought to conquer.
