Avatar Atla was the first Avatar of The Sea, and an immensely powerful sea sage, with nearly limitless Water-Rifting ability. Personally responsible for the unification of The Sea Realm from the isolated tribes of Unknown and Triton, the avatar eventually formed the underwater civilization of Atla, making him instrumental to the history of Osira. Having driven back the once widespread Sahuagin or 'Sea Devils' which presented a consistent threat to the aquatic inhabitants of The Sea Realm, Atla forced them into hiding within their deep sea trenches within Abythis. Largely understood to be the progenitor of Water-Rifting, Atla taught its arcane arts to the early Triton and Unknowns of Atla. In his final days, Atla explored the vast oceans of the world atop Mythias shell, and eventually safeguarded the Seastone within Atlan Abyss, a seemingly endless oceanic chasm. Passing of natural causes after millennium of service as the Sea Avatar, the lineage was passed down for thousands of years to come after his lengthy reign concluded.
