Ampharos Stratovan is a young Cloud Giant and son to Count Zephyros Stratovan, the acting Cloud Count of the Skye Jotun which reside within Anauroch. As the counts son, Ampharos has been raised into a wealthy lineage of Cloud Giants which have accumulated vast treasures and artistic artifacts over their lifetimes. Ampharos is known to suffer from dissociative indentity disorder, having two completely alternate personalities which can switch on a dime given the right circumstances or social triggers. Imbued with a pompous sense of self-righteousness one of his personalities embodies that of a spoiled heir to the Stratovans immense wealth, viewing all else as underneath his aspirations. His alternate personality is one who obsessively controls all his possessions and those beneath him to a cruel fault, deeming everything as his 'chess piece' which he should move as he wishes. When switched to this personality, Ampharos oftentimes utilized a magic chessboard which he places mortal beings on and plays games of chess with himself.
