Skald

This character is dead.
The Chained God
Elemental Titan

As one of the only Ice Titans remaining in existence, Skald has roamed the frozen plains of Norska for thousands of years, destroying entire mountain ranges and re-shaping the landscape in his gargantuan wake. Wherever Skald roamed, so followed immense maelstroms of ice and devastating cold-fronts which has rendered the lands of Norska nearly inhospitable.

Despite the destruction Skald has caused, it is believed that during the Twilight of Creation, Skald gave life to the Unknown, which fell from his frozen flesh as icicle-shaped sentient creatures. These creatures of ice eventually created offshoot races such as the Yeti and Unknowns which were naturally acclimated to the brutal winters of the northernmost hemispheres of the world.

Although not a deity himself, Skald rivals even the gods in power, having taken part in the ancient war between gods and titans which lasted millennia. Defeated near the end of the war, Skald was imprisoned under glacial sheets of ice by Borealis, with only vengeance brewing within his ice-covered heart, thinning the veil between the Plane of Khaos and Norska as his vitality weakens over the decades.

Handful of fanatical Unknowns, or Norsemen, actively devote themselves to his worship as their forefather, hoping that one day he will rise again from the glacial mountains and fell the pantheon of false-gods which rule the world in the new ages. In a vain attempt to kill the progenitor of the chaos wastes of Norska, Heran Lightfall attempted to wield the chained gods power before he was encased in ice by the primordial titan for attempting to steal his divine essence.

Upon the enactment of the prophecy of Lightfall, Heran Lightfall was released and gained control over the titan for only a short time before the Chosen of Chaos and their ruinous hordes feasted upon the chained god.
