Raised in a solitary family of Firbolg within the The Stillwoods, Alan grew up having little interaction with the world around him, save for the animals and spirits of the forest which he oftentimes conversed with. Making friends with the birds, squirrels, and elk of the forest, Alan grew a fond appreciation of the company they offered him. Seeking more from his life, however, Alan ventured beyond the wooded confines of the The Stillwoods and travelled throughout the hills of Avalon and well into the Greypeak Mountains to the north. Along his way, he began to learn the lay of the land and offered his aide guiding travelers who migrated between the two earth-bound cities. Seeking nothing other than the pleasance of their company, Alan became somewhat infamous within the city of Umber as an expert guide through the surrounding mountain valleys which lead to Avalon. Even meeting the Exarchs of the Earth, Alan made friendly acquaintance with Exarch Gea who bestowed upon him loyal animal companions which travel atop his shoulders, to keep him company throughout all of his travels. Upon a fateful day, Alan was sunbathing atop a great boulder with his mice companions when he was met with The Sunsations, to whom he happily guided on their quest to complete the Earthen Rites...
