Skogarvorn is a towering boulder troll, standing over ten feet tall and weighing well over a ton. His skin is a mottled gray, with protruding veins of obsidian black running throughout his rock-like form. His singular eye is a fiery orange, burning with a fierce intelligence and a deep hatred for any who dare to enter his territory. Skogarvorn's home is the abandoned mill, which he has made his own with crude furnishings of boulders and tree trunks. He uses his powerful earth magic to maintain the mill and keep it from completely crumbling, while also setting traps and barriers to prevent intruders from entering. He cares nothing for the forest or its inhabitants, viewing them as nothing more than potential prey to sate his hunger. Skogarvorn's presence in The Stillwoods has had a significant impact on the ecosystem, as he has disrupted the flow of the nearby river with his use of magic. The water mill wheel, which was once used to grind grain, has fallen off its mechanism and now blocks the river, causing it block the passage of water to the further extremities of the woods. The river spirit Naiad has been weakened by Skogarvorn's interference and desperately seeks aid to restore balance to the forest.
