Bubbles the Bartender

This character is dead.
The Bubbling Brewer
NPC

Bubbles is a jovial and charismatic Triton known for his distinctive appearance. With smooth, blue skin and a cheerful demeanor, he's easily recognizable among the patrons of The Crusty Pale. His slightly rotund figure and bald head contribute to his welcoming and approachable presence. Bubbles dons a white apron adorned with an embroidered crab emblem, a symbol of his association with The Crusty Pale and the Chuul fighting pits it hosts. Known for his infectiously warm smile and friendly disposition, Bubbles embodies the spirit of hospitality. He takes great pleasure in serving the diverse clientele that frequents the tavern and creates an inviting atmosphere for all who enter. Bubbles has an uncanny ability to make everyone feel like a welcomed guest.

One of Bubbles' unique offerings at The Crusty Pale is the bottled volcanic gasses. These black-corked bottles contain a special concoction that provides patrons with a distinctive and exhilarating experience when opened. Bubbles takes pride in serving these head-rushing beverages and enjoys the reactions of delight and surprise they elicit from those who partake. Bubbles not only serves drinks but also serves as a host and entertainer. He engages with patrons, shares stories, and ensures that everyone has a memorable time at The Crusty Pale. His ability to liven up the atmosphere and create a sense of camaraderie makes him an integral part of the tavern's unique charm.

Gone, Not Forgotten

During the harrowing events of The Atlan Atrocity, as a deadly Circle of Death swept through Atla's epicenter, Bubbles displayed extraordinary courage and selflessness. Seeing the imminent danger, he acted swiftly to protect his patrons. In a self-sacrificing act, Bubbles herded as many people as he could into a protected area of the tavern, using his knowledge of the establishment's layout to provide them a chance of survival.

In the final moments, as the necrotic energy of the spell approached, Bubbles shielded his patrons with his own body. His last actions were emblematic of his life's work – serving and safeguarding others. Bubbles succumbed to the spell, sacrificing his life to save many others who frequented The Crusty Pale. Through dying breath, Bubbles gave over his establishment to Driftwood Dave, who was a lifelong friend of his, despite Dave's notorious reputation as a drunkard and gambler.
