They are fierce warriors, often adorned with crocodile teeth and scales as armor. Their leader, Sszarg, is a massive lizardfolk with a maw as wide as his namesake. Under Wrath-Amon's influence, they serve as the vanguard of his army, capable of ambushing enemies from the murky depths.
Tribe of the Serpent's Tongue: Masters of stealth and poison, the Serpent's Tongue tribe specializes in assassination and espionage. Their territory is deep within the heart of the swamp, where they cultivate venomous plants and animals. Their leader, Naalith, is a cunning female lizardfolk who can strike with deadly precision. She serves as Wrath-Amon's spy master, gathering intelligence on the softskin lands and their defenses.
Tribe of the Thunderclaw: Revering the power of the thunder lizards (dinosaurs), the Thunderclaw tribe is known for their prowess in mounted combat. They ride into battle atop fearsome creatures like velociraptors and deinonychus, their riders expertly wielding long spears and axes. Tribe of the Mistweavers: Shrouded in mystery, the Mistweavers are known for their control over the fog and mists that blanket the Valley of Valley. They are the spiritualists and shamans of the lizardfolk, capable of summoning spirits and controlling the weather. Their leader, Zevriss, is a powerful shaman who has pledged his tribe's magic to Wrath-Amon's cause, aiding him in his dark rituals.

The Stoneback tribe is Wrath-Amon's heavy infantry, unyielding in their defense and formidable in their assault.
The Valley of Valusia is a mist-shrouded, foreboding land that lies between the Skizzard Mountains and the Salsama Mountains, serving as a natural drainage basin for both ranges. The valley is renowned for its wild, swampy rainforest and a rich, ancient history marked by both glory and tragedy. Its dense jungle and murky swamps teem with danger, but it remains a sacred home for the Lizardfolk tribes who have survived countless conflicts over the centuries.
Geography:
The Valley of Valusia is an expansive, low-lying region characterized by its swampy terrain, verdant rainforests, and ever-present mist. The land slopes gradually downward toward the eastern plains, where the swamp transitions into more navigable land. As the primary drainage basin for the two mountain ranges, it is crisscrossed by sluggish rivers, winding streams, and countless pools of stagnant water. The valley is humid, with a constant drizzle that often escalates into torrential downpours, feeding the dense vegetation that thrives there.
Massive ferns, towering trees draped in moss, and thick underbrush make traversal through the valley difficult. A sense of ancient magic permeates the land, and many explorers report a lingering feeling of being watched, as though the very jungle itself is alive with unseen forces.
Fauna:
The valley’s isolation and unique environment have allowed it to become a refuge for creatures long forgotten by the outside world, including a wide variety of dinosaurs. Great reptiles, both herbivorous and carnivorous, roam the jungles. From the towering Brachiosaurs that feed on the canopy leaves to the deadly Tyrannosaurs that stalk the swamps, the valley's ecosystems are as primal as they are deadly. In addition to the dinosaurs, giant amphibians, crocodiles, and serpentine creatures prowl the waters and jungle floor, making the valley a dangerous place for any who dare to venture there.
History and Mythology:
Centuries ago, the Valley of Valusia was ruled by the legendary Chagrukkuxl, a mighty Lizard King. Chagrukkuxl initially served as a vassal to Narondax, an ancient black dragon who had fled to the valley from distant Zakhara, pursued by hostile genies. During his convalescence in the valley, Narondax convinced Chagrukkuxl to serve him in exchange for protection and power. Their alliance was tenuous at best, based on mutual benefit rather than loyalty.
Eventually, Chagrukkuxl’s ambition grew too great, and he betrayed Narondax by stealing a ring of three wishes from the dragon’s hoard. Using these wishes, he ascended to new heights of power, ousting the weakened dragon and establishing himself as the supreme ruler of the valley. However, his lust for power would be his undoing. After conquering many lizardfolk tribes, Chagrukkuxl sought to expand his dominion by attacking the Uko: Lost City of the Nine Gods, home of the Nine Indigenous Gods, a place of mystery and immense danger. During this ill-fated campaign, Chagrukkuxl was mortally wounded by the human champion Ch’gakare, leaving his army in disarray.
In a final act of desperation, Chagrukkuxl used his last remaining wish to curse himself with undeath, vowing to drink the blood of those who had defeated him, and their descendants for all time. His wish was fulfilled, and fifty years later, he rose from his grave as a vampire. His resurrection heralded a new era of terror, as he sought to reestablish his rule over the lizardfolk and exact vengeance upon the human city of Seregon. His reign of terror was short-lived, however, as he was eventually slain by the ~Sentinels of Seregon. Chagrukkuxl’s loyal golden crocodile companion, however, escaped into the swamps, becoming a legend in its own right.
Present Day:
Despite the centuries that have passed since Chagrukkuxl’s defeat, the legacy of the Lizard King still haunts the valley. The Lizardfolk tribes of the valley remain divided in their memories of the past. Some elders remember the horrors brought upon their people by Chagrukkuxl’s reign and his pact with the black dragon Narondax, while others long for the bloody glories of his rule, dreaming of a return to power.
In recent years, a new figure has risen from the shadows of the valley’s past: Wrath-Amon, a warlock king and possessor of the Shining Trapezohedron, an ancient artifact tied to the Great Old One Bokrug. Wrath-Amon has forged a confederacy of lizardfolk tribes, using both fear and the promise of power to unite them under his dark banner. His ambitions echo those of Chagrukkuxl, but Wrath-Amon’s ultimate goal is far more dangerous: to awaken Bokrug and unleash the deity’s wrath upon the world, starting with the annihilation of the human cities that once oppressed the lizardfolk.
Lizardfolk Tribes:
The valley is home to seven lizardfolk tribes, each with its own distinct culture and fighting style. These tribes often warred with each other in the past, but under Wrath-Amon’s leadership, they have begun to unify. The tribes revere the valley’s primal forces, and many worship their ancestors, the Thuum’ha, or “Voiceless Ones,” who once ruled the valley before their civilization was destroyed. While Wrath-Amon seeks to awaken Bokrug, not all lizardfolk are united in this belief, with some tribes more skeptical of the warlock king’s dark agenda.
Mystical Significance:
The valley is a place of ancient power, home to numerous sacred sites, including the Red Ziggurat of Bokrug, where Wrath-Amon draws his dark power. Legends speak of other forgotten temples buried in the jungle, remnants of both lizardfolk and human civilizations that once thrived here. The valley is also believed to contain gateways to other planes of existence, and the Lost City of Uko, deep within the valley, remains a tantalizing mystery to adventurers and treasure hunters alike.
Hazards and Dangers:
In addition to the ever-present threat of dinosaurs and lizardfolk warriors, the valley is fraught with natural and supernatural hazards. The jungle’s thick mists can disorient even the most experienced traveler, and the swampy ground often gives way to hidden sinkholes or quagmires. Strange, unnatural storms sometimes sweep through the valley, accompanied by eerie whispers in the wind—believed to be the spirits of the Voiceless Ones, still mourning the destruction of their civilization.
The blood curse of Chagrukkuxl also lingers in the valley, making it a dangerous place for the descendants of those who once fought against him. It is said that his spirit haunts the valley still, waiting for an opportunity to return and reclaim his throne, while his golden crocodile companion prowls the swamps, a deadly and elusive predator.
The Looming Conflict:
With Wrath-Amon’s rise, the valley stands at the brink of a new war. The softskin lands of Moog lie vulnerable to his forces, as the tribes unite under the banner of Bokrug’s dark blessings. As Wrath-Amon’s influence grows, so too does the threat of a cataclysmic conflict that could reshape not just the valley, but the world beyond.
The Valley of Valusia is a place where the ancient and the primal coexist, a land filled with untapped potential, dark magic, and a history of bloodshed that threatens to repeat itself under Wrath-Amon’s tyrannical rule.
