Six days up river from Seregon, halfway to Camp Refuge, is Greylight Overlook. It is a dramatic and formidable rocky promontory that rises above the Lula River, situated deep in the jungle outside of Seregon. This vantage point offers a strategic view of the river and the lush, untamed wilderness surrounding the area.
Description of Greylight Overlook:
Geography: The promontory features a rugged, steep cliff face that extends over the banks of the Lula River. The rocky outcrop is covered in dense vegetation and vines, with occasional exposed boulders and crags. From this high vantage point, one can see the winding river below and the dense jungle stretching out in all directions.
Approach: Approaching the Greylight Citadel from Greylight Overlook reveals the impressive citadel perched atop the rocky outcrop. The citadel is surrounded by a natural moat formed by the river, with its spires and towers rising above the dense canopy of the jungle.
Protections in Place:
Magical Wards: The Greylight Citadel is protected by powerful magical wards that extend across the overlook and the surrounding jungle. These wards create a shimmering barrier that repels magical scrying and teleportation attempts, ensuring that only authorized individuals can approach the citadel.
Guard Posts: There are 60 guards, in three shifts. Guard posts are strategically placed along the promontory and the riverbanks. These are manned by Ithosian Talons. They maintain a watchful eye on both the jungle and the river. This is considered the halfway point to Camp Refuge, and thus a relay for troops and supplies.
