House Rakthavarna is not merely a rakshasa dynasty—it is the unseen blade at the throat of history. Long whispered of in forbidden tomes and planar courts, Rakthavarna survives as a myth of monsters, a lineage of deceivers who mastered not only illusion and domination, but narrative itself.

While others bartered with demons or built empires of gold, the Rakthavarna hoarded narrative sovereignty—believing that reality obeys those who control the story. Their seat of power is not a throne, but the Rakthavarna Scriptorium—a black forge of rewritten prophecy and blood-inked scripture.

But within their secret halls lies a deeper truth: Rakthavarna is governed by a sacred, ruthless tradition. A law older than empire, older than language itself. The rite of Kapala.

🩸 Kapala: The Rite of Kingsblood

House Rakthavarna adheres to the ancient doctrine of Kapala, the ritual purge of weak or failing monarchs. A king’s rule is not a birthright—it is a burden of perfection. When a ruler falters, they are not merely killed; they are devoured.

In the Chamber of Kapala, a failing raja is sacrificed, their blood drained into a ceremonial skull-cap. That blood is then consumed by their successor, who gains not only their power, but their knowledge, schemes, and unfulfilled ambitions. This act is not treason—it is devotion.

In this way, no plan is ever lost. Every lie lives on. The dynasty continues—not through bloodlines, but through absorbed legacy.

🔥 Current Raja: Dvaarash Karnak

Now ruling from behind veils of illusion, Dvaarash Karnak—known to mortals as Vermeer the Prospector—seeks out Ravana for his regenge. He is cunning, and cloaked in deception, Karnak embodies the old ways.

In truth, he is a rakshasa of terrifying intellect and ruthless tradition, cloaked in silks of serpent-slaying iconography, adorned with relics of forgotten kings, and driven by three obsessions:

Reclaim the Verdant Diadem (accomplished) – A serpent-warping relic he believes will restore rakshasa supremacy and crush his ancient foes.

The Eternal Maw
The hidden council of ancient rakshasa who have consumed multiple kings. Each is a living reliquary of past rulers—speaking with the voices of centuries. Karnak himself is one of the youngest members, yet perhaps the most dangerous.

The Crimson Hands
Silent assassins and enforcers of Kapala. They operate through infiltration, regicide, and ritual consumption. To see a Crimson Hand is to know your reign is already over.

The Gold-Marked
Agents posing as nobles, advisors, or merchants in mortal courts. They whisper downfall into kings’ ears and guide nations to ruin in the name of Rakthavarna's designs.

🧠 Philosophy and Purpose

Power is a privilege. Dominion must be maintained. Weakness must be purged.

This is the unshakable code of House Rakthavarna. They do not seek chaos, but continuity. Not rebellion, but perfection through sacrifice. Unlike Ravana’s cultists, who consort with horrors from beyond, the Rakthavarna preserve the purity of rakshasa supremacy: cunning, dominance, and masterful deception.

Mortals are pawns. Other rakshasa are rivals. Serpentfolk are vermin.

🗺️ The City of Veils

Though Karnak rules from the mortal world, the true spiritual seat of Rakthavarna is the City of Veils—a fortress-plane nestled in Phlegethos, the Fourth Layer of Hell. A place of eternal conspiracy, its golden spires shimmer with illusion, concealing:

The Throne of Ash – Seat of the current Raja, always in danger of becoming his pyre.
The Archive of Subjugation – A library of blood-drained skullcaps; communion with the dead can be bought with a sip.
The Chamber of Kapala – The place where rulers end—and successors begin.

⚔️ Tactics, Magic, and Signature Spells
