Elteos

Commonly referred to as "Elteos of the Reaching Green", Elteos was believed to govern the wilder places of Ostmyr. He was known as the god of storms, hostile lands, and strong tides. Elteos represented the competitive aspect of nature, which sought to grow and sustain its own existence through chaos and opposition. Reflecting this, his symbol was a triskelion of unbound circular lines, displaying no end to his growth or prosperity.

Considered by his followers to be a provider of freedom and growth, Elteos was the patron deity of many chaotically-aligned smallfolk. His acolytes were often found away from urban centers, and worshipped him in high mountains, dense forests, and far plains. Due to his perceived indifference to Humanity and other smallfolk, his symbol was often regarded with more fear than that of his brother, Ilios

Worshippers of Elteos claimed that followers of Ilios were hypocritical, and often clashed with them. They believed that Ilios' adherence to the laws of nature, despite their apparent good-naturedness, created an unjust system that would never allow the weak to become strong. Elteos' trend to chaos meant that strength had to be acquired through adaptability, which were qualities that his followers valued above all else.
